There is nothing like proving an unnecessarily strict authority figure wrong. Here, we have a terrible teacher who never failed to remain biased when grading the essays and assessing the arguments of her students. It got to the point where this Redditor knew he was not going to perform well on the essay portion of his final exam due to her biases.
However, when he learned that there was potential for extra credit on the final, he started hatching a plan. The extra credit assignment was as follows: students would receive an extra point for each line of a 400-word poem they can regurgitate from memory. Thankfully, this student was an avid reader and was always really strong with memorization. He ended up memorizing the entire 400-word poem and earned a 100% on the extra credit portion of the final alone. He also filled in a few fill-in-the-blank and multiple choice questions as well, but he was able to end up with an A in the class without having to write a final essay.
