Receiving a job offer on the spot in an interview is supposed to be an exciting, game-changing moment. However, for this 43-year-old medical expert who had decades of experience as a certified expert and professional, the offer ended up being so insulting and so shocking that his reaction was anything but excitement.
This Redditor explained how he was offered a paltry $12 an hour for a new position. Additionally, there would be no benefits if he had chosen to take the job. Thankfully, he had the experience and self-confidence to know he could get something far more fair elsewhere, so he chose to stand up and walk out of the interview on the spot. What's even more upsetting, however, is that evidently, there were two other serious candidates for the position who were willing to take the position. If this kind of offer doesn't say something about the lack of respect and care we show for medical assistants, I don't know what does.
