This tenant and her husband had lived peacefully in their apartment for over two years, never causing trouble, paying rent on time, and dealing with their landlords' agonizingly slow repair schedule without complaint. But one early morning, the tenant was woken by a call from her 75-year-old "Mom-Landlord," screaming at her for parking on the grass. But just a few days earlier, the "Son-Landlord" had told them they could park on the grass while the parking lot was being repaved. But logic didn't matter to Mom-Landlord, who kept screaming about damaging a sprinkler system... even though no water had ever come out of it during the couple's time living there.
After moving the car and getting even more threats from the landlord (via text message this time), the tenant had had enough. So, she decided to take some petty revenge. Since the landlords cover the heating bill, she now leaves the windows fully open all winter. Especially above the radiators. If they can't speak to her with respect, they can enjoy a higher heating bill this winter. Petty? Yes. Satisfying? Double yes.
