For people who have been through the pain that accompanies infidelity, you can understand why someone uninvolved would want to take action. There's always this feeling that the other person should know, and in general that's true. No one wants to be continually lied to, betrayed, disrespected, and embarrassed by the fact that someone else is intimate with their partner.
This Reddit thread is about just that. The OP is a woman whose neighbor is clearly having an affair. From watching for months, she feels the need to speak up about it. Having been cheating on before is also a motive for her, for she feels it's the right thing to do to tell him, even if it's not her business. It's a difficult decision to make - to stay uninvolved, or save someone from years of deception, that they can easily avoid. At the same time, does everyone being cheated on really want to know? As they say, ignorance is bliss.
