The best part about not living in an HOA is that you get to decide how your house and lawn should be kept (within neighborhood parameters, of course). A lot of folks have left HOAs because they didn't want to pay the strict fees or abide but nonsensical rules that would ultimately result in a hefty fine if they're not followed closely. Even without HOAs, though, neighbors will find a way to make anything you do as a homeowner seem evil.
The man in this Reddit story has been dealing with an ex-lawncare employee blowing leaves all over his front lawn, in addition to his own trash and trespasses while doing so. The man expresses that the neighbor plays "Fake Nice" whenever he asks him to stop blowing the leaves all over his lawn, which he does 6+ times a day. You'd think that after three or so years of being asked to do something, the neighbor would finally give up his annoying ways and small-minded beliefs about how lawns should look. If you thought that, you'd unfortunately be wrong. The neighbor won't let up, and the man in the story is seeking more creative revenge, on top of filing a city complaint on the situation.
