'My grandfather pretended to be on a secret mission... for 20 years': Grandfather concocts elaborate story to get extra food from fast-food restaurant

This grandfather was convinced he had the perfect plan to get a tiny bit more food at one of his favorite restaurants. 

Some people love to tell you all about their restaurant "life hacks." For example, some people believe that if you ask for double meat at a popular Mexican chain after the server has already added the first scoop of meat, that you'll get more in your bowl. This might actually work, you'll have to try it for yourself and see! Others claim that if you ask for french fries with no salt, the restaurant will have to drop a fresh basket of fries for you. You'll get piping hot fries and can then add your own salt. This works well only if other people aren't also trying that life hack… otherwise, you'll get a cold batch of salt-free fries. 

This grandfather had a pretty hilarious method for getting about 10% more food in his meal at a restaurant near him. While most commenters on u/Sewing_girl_101's story, others thought the grandfather was kind of impolite for his methods. It seems like he was well-liked otherwise, and there are plenty of people who use the same method, like ambulance drivers or police officers.
