While we enjoy the weather getting colder, there is one thing we are not excited about as we approach winter. The sun now rises later and later in the morning, which means that we are waking up when it is still almost completely dark outside, and that simply is the worst. Even if you are a complete morning person, waking up while it is still dark outside cannot be good for your mental health, we need the sun to shine so that we can shine! That is basic math!
This morning, not only was our cat sleeping on top of us because it was finally cold enough for her to want to cuddle, but it was still gloomy and dark outside, so we knew our chances of being able to get out of bed were close to non-existent. Eventually, we did get out of bed, and while we were waking ourselves up with a morning cup of coffee, we had to seek another source of serotonin instead of the sun, so we turned to the next best thing – hissterical cat memes.
