Everyone has the version of The Addams Family that they hold the most dear. For many (and for me) it's the films from the 90s starring Angelica Huston and Christina Ricci. For some, it's the original 1960s sitcom that debuted the lovably goth nuclear family. And for a whole new generation of Addams enthusiasts, the recent Netflix show Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega is the one that sent them down the road of the mysterious and spooky.
However you got here, you can probably agree that you love their deliciously macabre vibe and that you're probably jealous of Morticia Addams' wardrobe. They're a lovable family, supportive of each others' quirks, and bring a refreshing dose of darkness to the family comedy. For my money, The Addams Family (1991) is the perfect Halloween movie.
