If there is one thing that every Harry Potter fan would agree on, no one reads the book (or watches the movies) for the romance. Sure, most of us cheered when Ron and Hermione kissed after destroying the Horcrux in the Chamber of Secrets, but it is definitely not the main focus of the series, and it shouldn't be.
That being said, if an author does decide to put focus on romantic relationships between main characters, at least do right by them, and Rowling is the perfect example of an author who does exactly the opposite. There are quite a lot of love storylines between characters in the series, and most of them feel underdeveloped as if it was a decision in the spur of a moment, especially when it comes to the most important character of them all – Harry.
The discussion below portrays what Potterheads actually feel about Harry and Ginny's relationship, both in the books and in the film.
