Is it really true that there are no dumb questions? Some teachers certainly think so. They encourage students to ask any question, no matter how dumb it may seem. It's a good practice, in theory. It means that shy students or kids who aren't understanding the lesson have a chance to have their basic questions answered. After all, if you're thinking it, there's a good chance someone else is, too. This works great during math lessons, or it can lead to interesting discussions about books or works of art.
However, some people were just baffled by the stupidity of the questions their peers, friends, and colleagues brought to the table. For example, one guy called up the customer service line for his TV. He was absolutely furious because he claimed the TV was watching him, and that he could see himself on the TV. After chatting with the call center rep, he was informed that he was just seeing his reflection. D'oh! This guy was staggeringly dim, and there's plenty more where that came from if you keep scrolling below.
Next up, read about this hotel guest who was pretty confused about why he couldn't just "come in at 3 AM," and requested to sleep in the parking lot until checkout time (management said no!).
