Engineering manager tells employee to "go elsewhere" so they do and quit the next day: 'I have never quit a job with no notice in my life… until that day'

It's surprising how many businesses seem to be able to continue to persist despite the fact that a light gust would blow them over, being consistently and continuously mismanaged to the point where one single mishap would cause them to cease to exist. 

This employee worked for a horrendously mismanaged manufacturing company that was seemingly on the verge of collapse. The management team that had employed them was suddenly fired soon after they were hired, which caused them to be understandably uneasy and begin looking for work elsewhere immediately. Their new lazy boss was consistently dismissive, preferring to watch videos on their iPad rather than lifting a finger to resolve issues that faced the department when the employee asked about an issue that they had come across with a customer their boss refused to help, and when the employee persisted wanting to resolve it themself, they were told to "go somewhere else." So… well, they took their boss's advice and quit the next day.
