20 Silly Stock Photos That All Tell a Story

In these days of endless engagement bait and attempted algorithmic juicing, it is nice to have a few reminders of the less cynical, more entertaining sides that can be found on the internet. Without a doubt, one of these has to be the existence of stock photography. It is amazing the variety of images that can be found that seemingly have little context but are so oddly specific that it feels like there has to be some kind of story behind them. Even standalone, some of these photos are so compelling that they could almost be likened to a form of modern art. Whatever their reason for existing, we are glad of it because it brings to us all some much-needed silly humor. I've got to say, judging by these pictures the job of being a stock image photographer must be a pretty fun sometimes (that, or it's kind of disturbing).
