Alas, 'peopling' is a skill that many introverts lack. Like a pleasantly solo tree perched atop a grassy hill, loners are happy to stay in their lane, enjoying the solitude and peacefulness of being alone. We like that! Because peopling is actually quite stressful–there are so many rules–so wise introverts avoid it altogether. It's a simple life and a happy one.
Socially awkward folks still enjoy parts of the outside world. It's not necessarily the bustling outdoors that deters most introverts from venturing out, it's the people. People are the biggest problem. If only introverts could flex their social muscles without interacting with unknown people–then the world would see how powerful we really are!
But because of our innate pleasure in aloneness, peopling isn't something that introverts are willing to entertain. We're much happier canceling our weekend plans to chill with our pets at home because over-socializing just isn't worth it… and introverts have happily come to terms with that reality.
