Working any front-of-house gig that has you dealing face-to-face with the customers can cause all kinds of ups and downs. Sometimes you meet the nicest and coolest people that you are happy to help. While other times you meet a villain straight out of one of those viral Karen tantrum videos. It's quite the emotional rollercoaster, but anyone who has worked these kinds of jobs before really learns how to stand up for themselves—you gotta!
For instance, this hotel employee was working the front desk when an entitled customer came over. She slammed her bag on the desk right next to the employee while they were working with another customer. Anybody not raised by monsters would know how impolite that is.
