Welcome back internet enthusiasts. When one has a child, it's really their own responsibility to care for it. Of course, getting help from family members is a must, and especially from one's parents. But at the same time, it's unreasonable to expect one person to drop everything in their life for someone else's child. There tends to be a lot of 'free babysitting' expectations, and that's exactly what this Reddit thread is about.
In this story, the original poster (OP) is a woman whose sister expects her to be a free babysitter, and we're not just talking about here and there babysitter, or weekends babysitter. This is a nonstop job; the woman essentially doesn't want any responsibilities. The worst part is that their mother is taking the side of the sister who has the child. Lots of commenters are saying to go no contact, it might be a good idea.
