Welcome, otakus. Remember being a little kid, watching every episode of Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Inuyasha, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon, soaking in all that anime style with your impressionable young brain? No doubt that after a good cartoon session, we all went straight to the art drawer, pulled out construction paper, markers, and crayons to attempt to draw an anime character or creature that was just as cool and unique as the ones on the TV screen. Well, most of us aren't art prodigies, so the end result was likely not as impressive as we expected it to be as we were unable to bring to life on paper the totally rad character design that existed so vividly in the mind's eye.
Thankfully for this artist's son, his designs were brought to their full potential by his talented father, @thomasintokyo - an expert in anime art styles. From charismatic heros, to flamboyant villains, and to adorable sidekicks, this father and son duo worked together to create the amazing drawings below.
