When you're in the market to buy a home, it's tough not to get stars in your eyes and imagine your life in every listing you see online. Especially when it comes to the rustic charms of colonial builds and 19th-century architectural details, some buyers can put the horse before the carriage, planning to drop half-a-mil or more on a home where they can only see half the picture. In the case of the guy in our next story, he learned through a mild deep dive that he was literally only seeing half the picture... Because the realtor had cropped out the worst part of his listing.
