You can say a lot of things about New York City, but saying it's boring is not one of them. This city will keep you on your toes, guaranteed! Heck, I was supposed to only be here for a summer and now it's been over a decade. Once this city gets its claws into you, there's no leaving. As LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy says, "New York I love you, but you're bringing me down." Loving NYC is not like any other relationship you will have a a place. It truly feels like a relationship with a human, with all the range of emotions it puts you through. It's so alive and it is uniquely beautiful.
So that's why when the notorious L train had an emergency stop a few days ago, trapping hundreds of people under ground for several hours, nobody really batted an eye. In fact, one commuter on the train did what New Yorkers do best, and made a joke out of the situation. The POV video, that has now gone viral, is set to Nintendo music making it seem like a silly little game. And the comment section is flooded with New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers in love with the fireman, terrified of the rats, and having a grand 'ole laugh at the entire situation. See for yourself below!
