Hugh Jackman is no stranger to good, prestige acting. I honestly think his performance in Logan could've yielded him a Best Actor nomination, as it was just as good if not better than his performance in Les Misérables. But the fact that Marvel is campaigning him for Best Supporting Actor and Ryan Reynolds for Best Actor at the 2025 Oscars is borderline absurd. If studios have enough money, they'll submit all their movies for the Academy Awards, but this one is just plain silly. I can guarantee they're not submitting Dakota Johnson for Best Actress for her legendary performance in Madame Web, and as a Madame Web truther, that deeply saddens me. Marvel is seeking revenge for Angela Basset's Best Supporting Actress loss, and lowkey, that is a cause worth seeking revenge for.
