When I was a young boy… I liked pop punk… and memes. Nothing brings me more in touch with tweendom than yelling along to a Panic! At The Disco deep cut. It's a good thing I get in touch with my tweendom a lot. Pop punk is a genre that means so much to so many people, and yet goes under-appreciated often. Liking Fall Out Boy used to be a whole personality. You'd buy a checkered belt at Claire's, cut holes in your Hot Topic Joy Division t-shirt, and wield Manic Panic hair dye to horrifying ends. And then you'd spend hours copying down the most over-wrought yet genius lyrics to the latest Blink-182 song in your composition notebook. Life used to be beautiful.
But good thing we still have the music. And the memes that help us remember the music we love. So let's go join our fathers and see the marching band.
