Star Trek memes are some of the oldest memes in the book. I don't know about y'all, but Annoyed Picard was one of the first memes that came into my line of sight in 2012. It was such a perfect vehicle for expressing all of the grievances you might've had. The meme came from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Ménage à Troi," which isn't about that kind of ménage à troi but about Picard reciting Shakespeare's sonnets. I'm sure they wanted to make use of Sir Patrick Stewart's acting gifts in this episode, and they sure did just that. They also created a meme legacy that literally never dies, no matter how far away we get from the year of Gangnam Style. Imagine if the world had ended before all of the iconic memes of the past 12 years. I'm getting ahead of myself: enjoy these Star Trek memes!
