They dated, and after some time made their plans to get married. OP sees a photo of her online, with another man in the background. She unknowingly reveals the woman's infidelity, not realizing she's been cheating on the uncle. The whole wedding comes to a screeching halt, and the family is in uproar, but not at the woman, at the OP.
