Work-life balance is obviously a struggle for many adulting employees, but most of them would not make the egregious error of agreeing to live with a coworker.
This Redditor luckily didn't even go so far as to move in with his coworker Jim, but the abstract conversations they were having about the idea felt like a done deal to him. So when the original poster (OP) ended up getting invited by his sister to move to a much nicer neighborhood, he kindly told Jim that unfortunately, the timing was not going to work out.
Let's just say that Jim did not take this news well at all. He ended up conspiring with other coworkers to get OP fired. After hitting a low point, OP managed to bounce back by getting a job at a school doing environmental work. While there, he learned that the school was also in charge of handling the contracts for the same nearby warehouse where he was recently dismissed. At long last, OP finally got his petty revenge by firing all his former coworkers who previously betrayed him. Talk about epic!
