Do you have an unintimidating dog?
Believe it or not, long ago, dogs had actual jobs within the hooman community. Dogs would protect livestock, they would fend of wolves, and they would protect families from intruders. Nowadays, in 2024, dogs have food allergies, wear pajamas to bed, and need their special tummy rubs before they can cuddle up in the blankets on the CalKing bed.
Unintimidating dogs have a purpose too! It's not as if dogs are useless now–by all means–dogs have more function as emotional supporters for their owners. Their tasks are limitless as they support the high blood pressure moments for their anxiety-ridden owners. So although your toy breed pooch curls up into the corners of the couch whenever strangers enter the house, they know their strengths are no longer found in intimidating and protection, but in cuteness and cuddles.
