The rules of the road are simple. Don't be on your phone, and be mindful of the other cars. Well, there are definitely a few more rules but these are the two golden ones. If you drive frequently, you know that the only way the roads can remain safe is if everyone is aware of their surroundings. Most drivers make a point to use all forms of communication with other folks on the road if something on their end is going awry.
Then, you have a handful of drivers who don't care about anyone's safety, including their own and anyone driving with them. When an unsafe, reckless driver hits another car, it's likely that this isn't their first rodeo. Especially if their vehicle doesn't have any license plates. The original poster (OP) of this story's car was driven into by a mom with her son. She openly admits to texting and driving, and claims she had the light. Lo and behold, her texting had prevented her from seeing the timing of the traffic light and it was (of course) the OP's turn to go. The mom's children were yelling at the OP along with her, and when the OP tried to get her insurance information, she sped off.
What would you do in this situation? The OP is seeking advice from commenters, and they did not disappoint.
