It amazes me how, even after watching a movie countless times, I can still find new hidden details that I've never noticed before. Many films are packed with Easter eggs and subtle details, just waiting for the keen-eyed viewer to discover, but animated movies really take the cake in that regard. Each animated film takes years to complete, with people laboring over every single frame, so it's no wonder they sneak in details that aren't meant to be noticed on the first viewing.
Sure, sometimes it's something cheeky, like a hidden naked lady in The Rescuers, but most of the time, it's simply a wonderful attention to detail or a cute callback to another movie. Disney loves referencing their other franchises, and Pixar, in particular, has a habit of inserting characters from their next film into the current one, so the audience almost never catches the reference, as they don't yet know the character.
