Your family should come first at all times. But is there ever a moment when you have to put your wants and needs ahead of the needs of those around you?
The story below is an account of a frustrated daughter. Because she was forced to mature at a young age, the original poster (OP) never got to enjoy her childhood. OP has been working since she turned sixteen to support her family. But once she finished high school, her parents couldn't afford their mortgage, and since she wasn't helping them out financially, their house was foreclosed. Because of this, when OP and her husband purchased a new home, they decided to give OP's parents free accommodation instead of selling their old home. Their sole requirement was that the parents pay the $305 in combined property taxes and insurance.
Things were going well at first, but after a few years, when OP requested that they add $3 to their monthly bill due to increased taxes and insurance, things rapidly got out of hand. They stopped paying and began threatening to get a lawyer. So, if you are curious to find out what happens next, be sure to check out the story below!
