I always get a kick out of comically underpaid babysitting requests. You only have to be a member of a mom Facebook group for about a week before you see posts like "I'm looking for a nanny to take care of our kids from 6 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday. I can only pay $300 a week." I can empathize with the parents who post them who are probably struggling, don't have a lot of disposable income, and have no idea how much the average babysitter goes for. Still, it's a slap in the face to workers who are trying to make a living in childcare. It might be hard for moms to grasp that some people can charge $20 an hour per kid to do what they do for free, but that's just how the cookie crumbles. If you love absurd requests made by strangers, these parenting posts will further smoothen your brain.
