We all have paranoia about sharing our locations with friends and family indefinitely. What if a friend finds out I'm at a party they weren't invited to? What if my mother sees that I'm home and therefore thinks it's ok to pop by? These are all valid concerns that are worthy of strong consideration before agreeing to share your location with someone in your life.
Now, imagine that the stakes were higher and the person requesting that you share your location with them is your boss. Wouldn't you feel like this would be an invasion of privacy or a crossing of boundaries, even if location sharing only exists during the work day? The partner at this Redditor's law firm seems to think that it is perfectly within his right to enforce these new location-sharing policies. Apparently, the Original Poster (OP) was the only associate who seemed to take immediate issue with this idea. This, of course, is shocking given that I could never imagine myself or my coworkers and colleagues feeling comfortable enough to let a policy like this come to fruition.
