Not another delayed flight…
When you decide to book a flight to the vacation destination of your dreams, you're basically accepting that you might be delayed. There's a roughly 74% chance that your flight will arrive on time, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Great news! However, there's also about a 23% chance that your flight will be delayed in some way, whether you board late or show up to your destination a few hours after you were supposed to. And, sadly, about 1.3% of flights just get canceled altogether. Are those good odds? Well, if every time you tried to start your car there was a 25% chance it would take 5 extra hours, none of us would rely on driving. But flying is the only way we can get to some destinations, while others take just a few hours by flight, or days by car. You just have to play the airline's game, and hope that you'll catch your connecting flight or get to your intended destination in a timely manner.
