We all have people in our lives who are just straight-up horrible with money. I'm not one of those people who thinks if I don't save 50% of my income, I'm going to become homeless, but I think that's a better way of going through life than mindlessly throwing large sums of cash around and doing nothing to ensure your basic needs are met. You don't need a financial tracking app to know that rent, groceries, and utilities are more critical than new clothes, movie theater tickets, and cosmetic procedures. And yet, so many people chose the short-term thrill of the latter over the responsibility and duty of the former. That's all well and good if you're just messing up your own life, but those bills still need to be paid, and when the people around financially irresponsible people refuse to play ball, that can be the only way they learn.
