One thing that remains stable about the internet, no matter how crazy it gets on there, is that people are obsessed with animals. And even within all the madness, silly stories about animals do and will continue to go viral and make people smile. Stories like the 101-year-old lobsterwoman yeeting a lobster back into the ocean. Or the giant fish annoying her diver friend while he's working underwater. Or the cat who looks like a stuffed animal.
People see these animals, fall in love with them and do the only thing that they should do in a situation like that, and that is turn these animals into memes. And that is precisely what they did with this adorable baby hippo today. See, the thing is, this is no ordinary baby hippo. This is a baby hippo who, for seemingly no reason at all, constantly looks mortified, and it is kind of the most hilarious thing that we have seen this week.

We cannot tell you how happy we were to see this ridiculously adorable little hippo go viral over the weekend. It's just so silly and so wholesome, and it's exactly what we - and apparently the rest of the internet - needed.
