I understand the impulse to complain about your kids. In fact, I think it's a necessary thing to do when you're an overwhelmed parent whose frustrations are falling on deaf ears. However, I think there's a time and a place to do so. Talking to a therapist about your kids? That's an A+ venue. Confiding in your spouse and figuring out how to handle issues together? 10/10 parenting. Calling your girlfriends and complaining about your kids together while they're at school? Now that sounds cathartic and healthy! But complaining about your kids and airing their flaws on a massive Facebook group that basically anybody can join? That is such a bad idea. I know that local Facebook groups give off the illusion of security, but their vetting process is usually quite minimal. If they were so secure, why would these mommy Facebook posts be available to y'all? Riddle me that.
