These teenagers thought they'd figured out a perfect way to get their whole group home for a cheap price. Teenagers don't usually have tons of money to spend—they usually only have their allowances, or maybe they have a little spending money if they've gotten a minimum wage job somewhere. The kids in u/SibunaSeph's story spent an afternoon at Walmart, and then had to figure out how to get home. Apparently no one's parents could give them a ride back from the store, because they ended up calling a rideshare driver to give them all a lift home. As teens are known to do, they don't really think through their actions. Instead, they just called a car for their whole entire group… and the driver wasn't about to be as lenient as they'd hoped.
The driver of this car could've been a lot nicer to the teens, but instead, she chose to involve a local state trooper. The two of them tricked the kids, scaring them and possibly teaching them a lesson. If the teens didn't have enough money to get everyone home, though, the driver and state trooper were just making a bad situation even worse.
Up next, these confounding courtroom arguments make for some hilarious stories, like one person whose "mother's lawyer argued… that I had to add my mother as a Facebook friend."
