If there is one thing that the younger generation is doing right, it is the fact that they do not take lightly the idea of becoming a parent. It seems like young adults these days understand that becoming a parent is a huge responsibility, which not everyone is capable of committing to. So instead of insisting on bringing children they are not ready for into the world, they wait until they know without a doubt that they are ready.

Since then, OP has grown up, gotten married, and had a child. Now, out of the blue, OP's mother contacts her and asks her to reconnect in hopes of meeting her granddaughter, but OP firmly refuses.
