'$13k is a lowball [from his insurance]': Property owner expecting $200,000+ in reparations after a trespassing neighbor cuts down 200 of his trees

Neighbor boundaries are extremely straightforward. Property owners draw a literal line in the sand that determines which side is theirs–and that's that, plain and simple. This side is mine, that side is yours. But greedy property owners forget the simplicity of their property lines when they intend to encroach on their neighbor like bloodthirsty conquistadors, systematically creeping onto land that's not theirs in order to expand their empire of thieved lands, stolen fauna, and karmically salted earth. 

The property owner in this next story realized how far his entitled neighbor was willing to push the property line when he decidedly leveled an entire corner of his land without permission, killing 200 trees and saplings of his beloved forest. When you're a land owner with significant acreage, it's easy to lose track of the farthest edges of your property boundary, but that doesn't make these unfenced lands any less yours–and that includes the trees that grow there.

So when this Michigan property owner discovered that his neighbor went ahead and cut down hundreds of trees on his property, he decided to get the heavy hand of the law involved. As it turns out, not only is this conquistadorian neighbor looking at trespassing charges, but $200,000+ in reparations for cutting down so many old-growth trees.
