There has long been a discussion about the Gen Z and millennial refusal to grow up. Is it entitlement, economic pressures, or simply a change in the social tide? Whatever might cause some in the younger adult generations to make the life decisions that they do, it's fair to say that it isn't just old people who sometimes take issue with it.
This issue was brought to the forefront on Twitter recently when somebody began to complain that the millennial generation was to blame for "validating" the idea of being a part of a fandom well into early middle age. Many were in agreement with this sentiment, although not everybody felt it was entirely fair to trash people for being fans. There can be a fine line between letting people enjoy things and allowing them to engage in behaviors that are not a good idea for anybody to be doing.
