This father did the right thing when he was cornered with the results of a failed DNA test of his adoptive daughter–laugh in the face of his pot-stirring SIL who had no clue what she was talking about. Like granny used to say, 'don't be shoving your nose where it doesn't belong or you might just find your head trapped somewhere that really, really stinks.'
This brings us to the current Reddit thread, posted originally by a man locked in a hilarious humiliation battle with his nosy sister-in-law. As a woman who clearly can't keep to her own business, she was itching to meddle in her brother-in-law's affairs after meeting his daughter. She looked nothing like him and the SIL only knew half of the picture of how she was ultimately adopted. Being the meddler that she was, instead of having a conversation with her BIL about the origins of his beloved child, she decided to go behind his back, get a DNA test done, and then accuse him of raising a woman's affair baby–all while standing in front of his 6-year-old daughter.
When her heretics were revealed, the original poster of this story did what any father would do… He put the woman accosting his family back in her place, running home with her tail between her legs and (hopefully) a valuable lesson learned about minding your own business.
