This mastermind really committed to his payback. After moving into an HOA community and almost immediately getting violations (albeit unfairly) for not having a "green enough" lawn and for keeping his trash cans too close to his driveway, he decided to embark on some next-level petty revenge that ultimately managed to be the best thing for the community at large.
Essentially, the Redditor decided to join the local homeowner's association and, one by one, plotted to replace the "bad apple" board members with better individuals whose collective goal was to form a smaller board that would be less intrusive to the members of the community. To put the cherry on top, the Redditor even managed to foreclose one of the bad apples' homes. While this kind of long-standing commitment to payback is not something that I personally could ever possess (consider it my overall lack of follow-through in that department), I have to tip my hat to this guy for figuring out a way to get his own personal vengeance while still looking out for everyone else.
