Keeping a friendly rapport with your landlord is essential if you want to make the most out of your stay. And yet, how would you feel if your landlord threatened to call the authorities if you didn't leave the dryer and washing machine behind?
The story below is an account of a bewildered tenant. The original poster (OP) had just moved out of her apartment. After living in the same apartment for a considerable amount of time, OP had decided that it was finally time for a change of scenery. So, after notifying her current landlord that she was not going to be renewing her lease, she signed on to a new apartment that better suited her needs. While things were going reasonably well at first, things quickly spiraled out of hand when the landlord demanded that she leave the washing machine and dryer—which she had paid for, may I add—because the new tenants would not sign the lease if the two items were not included in the apartment.
In case you were curious, OP refused to bow down to her entitled landlord's ludicrous conditions. Thus, if you're curious about the details of what took place, be sure to read the story below! When you're done, don't forget to read about the daughter who resolves to quit providing financial support to her parents because they have been squandering her money on opulent items and her estranged brother!
