Getting fired is never a pleasant experience, but there are still some ways for it to be done that are better than others. If your manager has even a tiny shred of respect for you, then they will sit you down in their office, tell you the reasons they have to let you go, and send you off with a good luck wish. However, if your manager cares about no one but themselves, they might not even bother to fire you, and get someone else to do their dirty work for them.
That is roughly what happened in this Reddit story, as OP (original poster) was fired via a text message, not from their manager, but from a random coworker, all because their manager dislikes them. Annoyed about the way the manager and coworker handled the situation, OP claimed, through text, that the whole situation was highly unprofessional, only to be blocked by the coworker altogether.
