‘Ah yes, the betphaal’: People are freaking out over the confusing way this Starbucks organizes its drinks

We all learned our Alphabet when we were very young. Do you remember the letters puppets you had to make in kindergarten class? A, B, C, D, and so on, all construction paper little dudes pasted onto popsicle sticks so you wouldn't forget the order? We all know the little ditty that goes with memorizing the order of the letters. 

One thing they don't teach you, however, is how to say the Alphabet backward. We know it starts with Z, Y, X, but after that, most have to start thinking harder about it. It's not a natural thing to just completely reverse what you have been taught the other way around your entire life. So when this Starbucks counter put organizational stickers with something that looked like maybe (or maybe not) the Alphabet backward, people started freaking out. Is it backward?
