As the cool weather starts rolling in (very slowly), the squirrels come out to look for some yummy seeds and nuts to harvest before the trees become bare and the snow starts falling. Luckily, our furry squirrel friends know exactly how to brave the frigid air and manage to con every hooman they see into giving them a piece of their yummy food. Don't hate the squirrel, hate the game.
Though rodents often get a bad rep in the pawrent community, they need love just like our feline and canine friends do. Squirrels might pawssibly be the fluffiest fellas in the rodent family, especially because they (usually) have larger-than-life tails that basically take up their entire body. The little acorn-loving babies might be skittish, but that's because they aren't really domestic creatures. You might get lucky this autumn and befriend the sweet squirrel that lives in the tree in your front yard, but you'll have better luck if you have a handful of nuts to trade for their affection. Just make sure you don't bring your doggo outside—they might get jealous!
