That first chill of fall is upon us, at least in my part of the world. Yes, it's still August, and summer hangs on for dear life, but a couple of days ago there was the distinctive blush of autumn air, and I wore a sweater for the first time in months. It's an exciting time. You start to have sense memories of going to Target to pick out school supplies, biting into fresh apples, and taking your trusty wool cardigan out of storage. You're writing your name in your new notebooks, picking out which colors go with which subjects (math is obviously red and science is green).
There is a sense of possibility in the air. You're starting to make plans for the year ahead, imagining what you'll learn, who you'll meet, and what's going to unfold in the crisp fall air. And you're breaking out the memes to keep you company. Life is good.
