There have been plenty of failed promotion programs throughout history. It can happen to any company if they aren't cautious about the wording of their offers, as well as limiting the amount of products that people can purchase. These companies plan for your average Joe to participate in the contest, but there are also folks who take things to the extreme, and they want a piece of the pie, too. 

This person technically did nothing wrong, and they're going to have a wealth of sweets to snack on for the indefinite future!
