When scrolling through places online where anyone can sell anything, make sure to use caution. There are a lot of scammers out there, online and off. Sometimes they're not so obvious and sometimes it is so obvious it feels like a smack to the face.
Take, for example, this man who found his own car for sale on Facebook Marketplace. He was casually scrolling through when he saw a familiar-looking car. Curiously, he clicked on it and he was shocked with what he saw. It was his actual own car, pictured as it currently is sitting in his own driveway. He was so very confused. Who had the ability to take photos of his car where it is now and then post it? He clicked on the seller's profile and could not believe his eyes. It was his very own neighbor. The neighbor he was just casually chatting with earlier that day about how he was starting to think about maybe selling his car. So, his neighbor went ahead without his permission, took photos, and posted the car for sale without even letting him know.
What would you do in this kind of situation? Is there any way that this neighbor could have been trying to do something innocently or is this just straight-up scummy scam behavior? Read the entire situation and other Redditors' reactions below!
