‘I finally said No’: Guy keeps getting cheated by cheapskates on Marketplace, refuses to sell furniture over $4 on principle

Sometimes, you have to put your foot down because of the principle of the matter and not because of details. This Redditor had been selling numerous household items on Marketplace only to repeatedly be taken advantage of by potential online buyers.

The pattern was common. The two would message back and forth, a specific price would be agreed upon, and when they finally met up to exchange the item(s) for the agreed-upon price, suddenly the buyer did not have sufficient funds. The Redditor would occasionally fall for this, but after a while, he was tired of being taken for granted. It was as if word got out that he was easily messed with when it came to pricing.

So when he met up with a new potential buyer and the buyer was short $4, this time, he wouldn't budge. Sure, it was just $4, but as we said, it was the principle of the matter at the end of the day.
