When you've been gaming as long as I have, you'd think you'd start to be good at the games you've been playing. Decades of training are wasted as you dodge the final boss's attacks over and over and over and over. The circle button on your controller is starting to get overly worn out from all the tumbling your character does on screen… That's because you're probably a casual gamer, like me.
Casual gamers love to play video games but rarely have the time to sit down and tackle a 2 or 3-hour campaign because we all know that'll lead to an all-nighter in front of your console. As adults, who can do that anymore? When we were youngens, blitzing our eyeballs from the proximity to our maximum brightness TV screen, we could play for hours on end, honing our skills without a care in the world about balanced sleep schedules, nutrition or god-forbid, having to go to work. Back then, you could just play video games forever.
Life for a gamer nowadays is more complicated than that. We need to carve our special moments for our games–after the kids are asleep or when our partner has a lady's night with her gal pals–because there's not enough time in the world to accommodate our desire to 100% every FromSoftware game. So if you're a gamer who longs for an all-night play through of your favorite game, keep scrolling for a taste of some memes that'll curb your video game appetite.
