Being a mom means you can never take a day off for the rest of your child's life (until they become adults, that is). Even if you're under the weather and have to take a day off of work, you can never really take a day off of parenting duties. Maybe you co-parent or have an amazing family who is happy to take your kiddo off your hands for the day.
