Why are we not surprised? Honestly, we wouldn't even be surprised at this point if we found out that it was the cat that caused the fire in the first place, and it's just annoyed that someone is putting it out. Cats are just ameowzing like that.
Now, this… is what we call love. This is what we call celebrating a birthday. This is taking your cat's interests and hobbies into consideration, the same way that you would for any human on their birthday, and giving it what it wants. We love this.
